The University of Macau (UM) String Orchestra and Stephen F Austin State University’s (SFASU) School of Music recently held a joint concert at UM. Participants in the concert included Prof Gene Moon, director of orchestras of SFASU’s School of Music; Prof Melissa Nabb and nine students from SFASU’s School of Music; and members of the UM String Orchestra. They performed a number of classic tunes, including Symphony No 45 in F-sharp minor, Hob. I:45 ‘Farewell’ by Haydn, Andante Festivo by Jean Sibelius, and Three Tangos by Astor Piazzolla.
