Wang Kun, a postgraduate student from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Education, won the championship in the senior category of the half marathon challenge at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2017. He also won the overall championship of the men’s marathon. This is the fourth time that Wang has participated in the contest and the second time he has won the championship. This year’s event attracted more than 70,000 contestants. Wang will represent UM in a national inter-varsity contest to be held in Mongolia in July.
