An opening ceremony was recently held for the fourth leadership training course for civil servants in Macao. The course is co-organised by UM and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau. Cheong Weng Chon, secretary for administration and justice, encourages the participants to make full use of the three-month learning opportunity to broaden their knowledge in order to provide suggestions for public administration reform in Macao and contribute to the development of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Yonghua Song, rector of UM, says that UM’s Public Administration Training Centre will continue to serve as a platform for civil servants to enhance their quality to help build the SAR government’s talent pipeline.
