The University of Macau (UM) held the UM Teaching Excellence Award Seminar today (11 October). Garry Wong, professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, who is the recipient of the UM Teaching Excellence Award for the 2021/2022 academic year, gave a talk titled ‘A Teacher’s Journey through Time and Place’. During the talk, Prof Wong took the audience on a journey through time, exploring evolving teaching methods, technological advances, and different pedagogical approaches. He also shared his personal experiences as well as anecdotes and insights as a teacher. Combining both online and in-person elements, the talk attracted many UM faculty members, students, and members of the general public.
