16 outstanding research results from the University of Macau (UM) were presented today (30 September) at the Eighth Macau Industrial Products Show. Many of them have not only received international or national awards, but also obtained patents. Smart Cleaner, one of the research results, was used to disinfect the venue, demonstrating the value of scientific innovation in its application.
The 16 UM research results are Smart Cleaner, an intelligent disinfection robot; a new type of wireless charging system; a new type of power quality compensator; Virus Hunter; a cancer immunotherapy biotechnology based on carbon quantum dots; a real-time exploration robot based on simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM); a study on the therapeutic effect of artemisinin drugs on Alzheimer’s disease; Technological development and applications of keratinocyte differentiation from human pluripotent stem cells; robotic insects with ultrahigh agility; Bioactive PD-001 Molecule; Research and development (R&D) of a series of classic traditional Chinese medicine recipes; Flash Air Professional; R&D and application of eye care products based on Chinese medicine; Funny Eye craft beer; BioPeTech malted cat litter; and Honeybank.
