The University of Macau (UM) held the Summer Programme Fair 2020 today (15 January). During the event, 16 universities from around the world provided the latest information about their exchange programmes for UM students. Participating students say that there are more choices for exchange programmes this year, adding that they hope to join the programmes to experience foreign cultures and become more independent.
Vice Rector (Student Affairs) Billy So thanked the representatives for coming all the way to UM. UM has established partnerships with institutions in more than 20 countries and regions, which have translated into over 80 exchange programmes. He expressed hope that the students would grasp the opportunity to broaden their horizons during the summer holiday.
The event was organised by the Student Affairs Office. Universities exhibiting at the fair include the University of Queensland in Australia; the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria in Canada; IESEG School of Management in France; Hanyang University, Konkuk University, and Kyung Hee University in South Korea; the University of Lisbon and the University of Coimbra in Portugal; New Russian University in Russia; Edge Hill University, the University of Leeds, and University College London in the United Kingdom; as well as Boston University, George Washington University, and Temple University in the United States. UM has signed collaboration agreements with 261 higher education institutions in 33 countries and regions. UM students to choose from 168 universities for overseas studies. The university also provides many local and overseas internship opportunities for students.
