Professor Robert Joseph Taormina of the Department of Psychology of the University of Macau (UM) has been appointed to the Editorial Review Board of the Sage Publications Journal Leadership for a period of five years.

Hailed as “an international peer reviewed journal that publishes the highest quality original research on leadership, ” Leadership is designed to provide an ongoing forum for academic researchers to exchange information, insights and knowledge on both theoretical development and empirical research on leadership. The members of the Editorial Review Board of the Sage Publications Journal Leadership are internationally recognized experts in contemporary leadership theory and practice, with the ability to evaluate leading-edge academic leadership research. They are also leading academics in their country, geographic region, or the world. Currently, the Board members are from 15 different countries, mainly from UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and several European countries.

Professor Taormina is a renowned and well-respected scholar in the field of applied psychology, leadership excellence, social psychology, and organizational psychology, as well as cross-cultural comparisons. He has received a“Lifetime Achievement Award for Distinguished Leadership in Education”from the International Institute for Advanced Studies (based in Europe) and twice received the“Best Reviewer Award”from the International Management Division of the Academy of Management (based in the USA). His research publications are cited in top-tier internationally refereed journals on a regular basis (which averages about 12-15 times per year) with more than 120 citations to date. Furthermore, Professor Taormina has more than 75 publications in internationally refereed journals, as well as book chapters, books, and international conference papers. And, presently, he is a reviewer for nine international journals.
