The opening ceremony for the second Training Course in Chinese Medicine Quality
Assurance was held at the University of Macau (UM) today (22 April), signalling
the official start of the five-day training course. The course is organised by the Mainland and Macao Science
and Technology Cooperation Committee and hosted by the State Key Laboratory
for Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (UM
and the Macau University of Science and Technology). Tong
Chi Kin, president of the Administrative Committee of the Science and
Technology Development Fund of Macao SAR, said at the opening ceremony that
through over a decade of efforts of local researchers, Macao’s research achievements
in Chinese medicine have gained recognition from peers both at home and abroad.
UM Rector Wei Zhao noted that UM has confidence to elevate research in Chinese
medicine to a new level to contribute to economic diversification in Macao.
