Prof. Haydn Chen, vice rector (student affairs) of the University of Macau (UM), recently visited Nankai University in Tianjin, at the invitation of Nankai University President Gong Ke. Prof. Chen gave a lecture on university education in soft skills and hard skills in the 21st century. Prof. Chen explained the importance of liberal arts education for university students. He also shared the latest development of UM as well as the opportunities brought by the new campus.

Prof. Chen’s lecture was presided over by Prof. Shen Yaping, director of the Institute for Higher Education Studies at Nankai University.
