Five students of the Faculty of Education, University of Macau (UM), recently went on a five-day volunteer mission to the remote villages of Taiwan, through the fourth “Hoping Download” activity organised by Taiwan Normal University. A total of around 300 university students from the four Chinese-speaking territories (mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan) participated in the activity. A UM student said that the activity gave her the opportunity to develop teaching skills and understand the learning characteristics of students from different places.
