Edmund Ho Hau Wah, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference visited the University of Macau’s (UM) new campus on 21 August. He expressed his hope that UM students can make the most of the beautiful new campus. 

Edmund Ho visited the new campus in the company of UM University Council Chair Tse Chi Wai, UC Campus Development Committee Chair Lam Kam Seng, UM Rector Wei Zhao, and Vice Rectors Simon Ho, Rui Martins, Haydn Chen and Alex Lai. Today is also the first day of the new campus trial use programme. During his visit to one of the buildings in the residential college area, Edmund Ho talked to the students there and inquired about their experience of being the first to live on the new campus on a trial-use basis.

Edmund Ho noted that the new campus presents a historic opportunity for UM, and he believes that the new campus will not only play a crucial role in UM’s future development, but it will also need to fulfill the huge responsibility to educate the next generation for Macao. He said that the new campus is a beautiful, modern campus of a unique style and he hopes the students can make the most of the beautiful new campus.
