A delegation from the University of Hong Kong’s (HKU) School of Biological Sciences (SBS) recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and attended the UM-FHS and HKU-SBS Joint Symposium on Biomedical Research. Co-organised by the SBS and UM’s Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), the symposium aimed to share the latest findings and developments in the area of biomedical sciences. The symposium attracted many renowned scholars from China and abroad.
Prof Ge Wei, associate dean of UM’s FHS, said that the FHS hopes to organise similar events in the future on an annual or biannual basis. He added the symposium was a fruitful and meaningful event. Prof Rudolf Wu, director of the SBS, noted that the symposium brought foreseeable opportunities for collaboration between UM and HKU in scientific research. Prof Wu added that the symposium provided a platform for academics and researchers to exchange knowledge and research findings, and hopefully would lead to enhancement in teaching and research.
