The University of Macau (UM) recently signed a framework agreement for strategic collaboration with four parties, namely the Hengqin New Area’s management committee, the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics’ Institute of Free Trade Zone, and the Collaborative Innovation Centre for the Cooperation and Development of Hong Kong, Macao, and Mainland China. Parties under the agreement will collaborate in the establishment of a research institute in the free trade zone in Hengqin.
