The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Macao Studies on 19 May will hold a conference on the free trade zone in Guangdong and the implications for Macao. More than ten experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, South China Normal University, the Administrative Committee of the Hengqin New Area, and higher education institutions in Macao will participate in the conference. They will have an in-depth discussion on how policies on the free trade zone in Hengqin can benefit Macao from the perspective of global economy and regional economic integration.
