The University of Macau (UM) is holding an exhibition to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Robert Morrison’s A Dictionary of the Chinese Language. The original edition of the dictionary, which was published between 1815 and 1823 as the world’s first Chinese-English dictionary, will be exhibited from today to 31 January, from 9:00am to 6:00pm, on the second floor of the UM Wu Yee Sun Library. The event is co-organised by the University of Macau (UM) Library and Chao Kuang Piu College. All are welcome.
