The University of Macau (UM) Tennis Team recently placed second in the Group A category at the regional round of a national inter-varsity tennis tournament. During the three-day competition, the UM team beat 12 other teams from higher education institutions in mainland China and Hong Kong and qualified for the final of the national tournament. The competition attracted 200 faculty members and students from 19 universities in Guangdong province, Fujian province, Hainan province, Hong Kong, and Macao.
