Students from the University of Macau (UM) broke multiple records and won gold medals in various events at the 56th Hong Kong-Macau Interport Swimming Competition on 16 December. Chao Man Hou, a student from the Faculty of Social Sciences, won the gold medal and broke the record in the men’s 50-metre breaststroke category. He also won another gold medal in the men’s 100-metre breaststroke category. Lei On Kei, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Education, won the gold medal and broke the record in the women’s 50-metre breaststroke category. She then won another gold medal and broke the record in the women’s 50-metre freestyle category. In addition, the two UM students broke the record and won the first place in the mixed 4×50-metre free style relay category.
